today is halloween and it's boring. i have a chalet party to go to but i don't feel like going- unless it's a costume-halloween trick or treat party.
then i'll dress up as a girl pirate (i took a tickle test and they said my ideal halloween costume would be a girl pirate. arr!!)

mr rochester is so DARN EVIL. at first, he treated jane like some kind of lowly servant and scorned at her drawing abilities. then, he faked engagment with Lady Ingram to make her jealous and then did not tell her the truth about his mad wife whom he locked up at his mansion!
plus, JANE IS LIKE, 18 WHILE MR ROCHESTER IS NEARLY 40!!
can someone lust at such a big difference of age?

what i've learnt this past week:
1. it's very easy to make mistakes
2. it's reasonably tough to acknowledge and correct them.
3. it's hard to say sorry.
4. but it's harder to forgive and forget.
5. sometimes the best way to lift the burden off you is to KEEP IT TO YOURSELF and not tell it to other people- in fear they might do something to worsen the situation.
6. it's impolite not to sms back a person when they've been expecting your reply unless you are really pissed off with them or you just aren't in the mood.
7. in life, there is no such thing as a 3rd chance because you already blew the 2nd one.
8. among the people who get 2nd chances, only 40% will change. the rest of the 60% don't ( i already calculated)
9. for girls, shopping and manicure can make you feel better if you feel pissed off (i am getting mine all white like fergie or doing the french tip like ashley tisdale)
10. ice cream helps too.
11. get a job so you won't spend so much of your bitter time at home.

last tuesday: 23 Oct
history heritage race.
went to chinatown to dress up like a dragon, got lost in an office building, wandered at a dark and dingy carpark lift lobby (a nightmare come true), flying green insects, stumbling through polluted and stinky roads....not to mention we were hopelessly lost.
it's a miracle i am still alive.
my favourite part was when we cut the race, slacked at bugis and ate at the food court. me, michelle, shahirah and grace WENT WINDOW SHOPPING at bugis street after that.**pissed off rate: 65% due to complete waste of timelast wednesday: 24 Oct
had leadership talks. played games which involved placing my knees on the rocky ground. also lost my handphone- but found it later on. stayed back for 30 minutes because our class was super noisy.

last day of school. also be yourself day. dressed in red and white stripes for me. i look like a candy cane. stayed in class and played truth or dare with michelle, grace and shahirah.
teacher distributed report books. mostly A's so i'm quite happy. michelle cried.
at the computer lab, teacher distributed our class list for next year. in 3.2 (triple science) taking elective literature.
in the same class as michelle, grace, cuthbert, khwoon hwa, teri, rachael, sabina.....
i am thankful.

totally exhausted and went back to tampines mall to spend my Aries voucher on a purse and waist belt. we also bought nail polish (white for me; pink for chris)

went home and my mom lectured me because of something that occured through msn. shall not elaborate. trying to indirectly blame me?
used the computer till 12 midnight. i still have not mastered the skill of flying my jet in the game my sister introduced. i either crash and burn or get shot in the air.

to temasekians who don't know what 'retro' means or what it looks like, here's some examples...

my sister's birthday. horrible. all she got was 2 silver necklaces. no birthday party i anticipated because of my parents and their stupid fight. i really pity her.
but i pity myself even more. i had to TUTOR MY BROTHER. (yeah you say. pauline gets paid what....hello?? my brother's memory span is very short)
take for example 'yi sheng' in chinese means 'doctor'. a few seconds later if you ask my bro what's 'yi sheng' he would say 'i don't know'.
argh. its really frustrating.
i however got my $10.
spent most of my time watching silly cartoons, Poseidon and X men 2...that was, when i was in the middle of watching Wolverine attacking Stryker, the TV issued out smoke and was fried.
fried i tell you. like a scrambled egg.
it also stinked. i thought the gas was poisonous or something.
so bye bye TV. we've left 2 more in the house T.T

wandered everywhere and bought aries white hoop earrings $1.20, myuk handphone pouch $4.90(- special offer) and an ip black skirt $23 for my retro look (be yourself day. stupid retro theme)
the thing is, the skirt can be worn as a tube top. i didn't know until i saw the mannequin my sister pointed out.
so i was like, really elated, because my 23 dollars did not gone to waste.

my sister can really be the WORST SHOPPING PARTNER.

i forgot to mention that last saturday (was it? the day i went out with lynette...oh! i can't remember!!) i bumped into an old friend while walking home.
Xiang Guang!!
i recognised him and called out his name.
thankfully, he remembered my name (unlike many guys i meet who easily forget things like your birthday or something)
he grew taller and he isn't wearing his spectcles anymore. he also wore black and looks erm well..... cool.
he said i grew taller (i was wearing platforms but nonetheless) and he said i was more girly because i wore hot pink everywhere (but excuse me it so happened on that day i decided to wear pink)
but its good to hear from him. he was my first ever guy friend since P5 (i tend to stick to girls when i was younger)
when i reach sec 3, I WONDER if my friends (presently now) will forget me....
haiz. I WONDER if a few years from now, when i bump onto one of them, will they recognise me?
ok. I WONDER why i am wondering this.

anyway, today i watched an oldie movie (i dunno why i did)
surprisingly, it was interesting.
the movie was about 4 lawyers, who were close friends, had to tackle a case involving the release of a murderer.
one of them, maggie, believes he changed and thus deserved to be a free man. while the rest were against it.
you know,that kind of an adult movies... maggie also had a steamy affair with her colleague. the other pair is a divorced couple, coping to stand each other's presence. the woman is mute too.
the murderer murdered a women and her child and the grandmother still wants him to remain in jail and by being free, he is a danger to society, thus she shoots him.
i mean, why show justice to a crimminal by committing a crime against him?
in the end, maggie won the case and the old woman is jailed.
an old woman shot the murderer for revenge.
weird.

i overslept today and woke up at 6.50 am!! what more, my school starts at 7.25 am!!
thank God for my mother who woke me up.
i bathed, brushed my teeth, dressed, put on my shoes and tie my hair; dashing out of my house at 7am.
caught the bus at around 7.15 am, STILL SERIOUSLY LATE.
arrived at school at 7.30 am, unfortunately not fashionably late.
it's like my third time (being late).... i think. a few more times then i'd get suspended T.T
got back our history paper. got a B4 but overall i calculated and got an A2.
plus a number of people failed. so i'm OK with it.
after that keyed in my streaming allocation combination.
i forgot to bring my paper lor...T.T
school clean up was also today. me, shahirah, grace and michelle swept the floor (easiest job of all).
after that we read magazines, haikal snatched up one and tore out a sexy Jolin poster and all the guys drooled over it.
talk about being desperate and aroused T.T
went out with grace to bedok food court and she bought 2 magazines at Cold Storage.
nowadays, its really boring at home.

my title already says it all: exams are a dread, but the results might be your worse nightmare!! ARRGGGHHH.
17 oct
my class went to the hall to discuss our subject combinations. i also got my literature, maths and chinese results back.
18 oct (today)
we first got back our science results. it was OK for me; except i had a lot of confidence in my bio paper, turns out i got a pretty low mark; even my chemistry and physics mark (the papers which i found difficult) exceeded my expectations T.T
got back my maths; i am SATISFIED.
geog was insane; my teacher was contantly being harrassed or bombarded with questions like "Can add 1 extra mark, 'cher?" OR "Teacher teacher. You haven't see this part yet" OR "Eh teacher give mark lah please. i write a lot leh" T.T
YONG HAN TRIED TO FLATTER MR TAN, saying he was 'young' T.T
english was poison. it nearly killed everyone (and i am not exaggerating). a lot of girls cried. i nearly did but i held my tears back.
CHEER UP TO: YAN LI, MICHELLE, SHAHIRAH, SYAHIDA, TERI AND SABINA.

ok. this is my third post of the day but i am here to comment on the movie 'Ocean's Thirteen' i watched yesterday (i think. i can't really remember. i lost track of the time..)
to be a woman, i must break free from watching silly cartoons and watch more appropriate shows and movies my age LIKE HALLMARK or something.
*sticks out tongue* c'mon, i still watch spongebob.
anyway, it not really hard to comprehend what was going on. one of Danny Ocean's pals got sick (i can't remember the name....was it Reuben??) this was triggered by the fact that a man (Bank) double-crossed him, made him do all the work in planning the opening of a casino but did not welcome the partnership (something like that. i cant remember).
so Danny and his gang take revenge. how? by making sure the casino loses money and gets a very bad review by a VIP.
this is hilarious. i mean, poison the bed sheets and sofas in the room so that the VIP gets pissed off and gives a bad report? REALLY COOL SABOTAGE THERE.
also, their outside 'connections' make sure they win in every casino game. how? the dice is made of a certain substance and the gang use a device (which looks like a match lighter) to control the movements of the dice. pretty cool huh? that's what i call professional cheating.
they also adjust the machinery underground to cause an earthquake to cut off the security measures in the bank (this very high tech machine monitors body temperature, pupil dilation to ensure nobody in the casino cheats...you get the idea?)
my favourite parts:-
when Danny and Rusty cried while watching Opera.
when Linus (is that the correct spelling? the Matt Damon character) had to seduce Bank's assistant Ellen but ended up being caught by his own father who posed as an FBI agent.
when Linus suggested to Ocean to HIRE AND PAY SOMEONE TO READ to sick Reuben.
when Rusty purposely let the VIP (i think it was Dr Stan) win a game in the airport and he won 11 million dollars.
in the end, the casino lost a lot of money (half a billion or million? to be exact) and the VIP did not give a very good report and thus Bank was unable to win the 5 diamond award.
love every Ocean movie!!

1) if you plan to read 'adulty' novels, i suggest you take or borrow ones that are low in sexual content, if you are still progressing. (i accidentally borrowed a high-maintainance one. now going through a brain-overdrive trauma)
2) read up a LOT of fashion magazines if your style needs some shaking up.
3) act mature. please DO NOT SCREAM OR SHOUT UNNECESSARILY OR SUDDENLY. unless zac efron or orlando bloom is on TV.
4) have more self-esteem and do not lose face just because your crush is in the same room as you.
5) do not go into crazy diets just because you think you are too fat or too skinny. you have to love yourself.
6) if some guy approaches you in the bus or a restaurant, do not give away your number. tell him you are not interested even if you are. better still, give him a fake one.
7) if you want a guy's number, DO NOT (i repeat) ask your friend to ask him. things will go horribly wrong from there.
8) if you want something new (let's say a cute stuff toy) MAKE A BET WITH YOUR MATHS TEACHER that you can get an A- just make sure you can reach the target, that is.
9) clear your cabinets of all unwanted things and those which are of good working condition, give them away to someone else even if it's not a special occasion.
10) make realistic new year resolutions- not get a boyfriend or earn 1 million dollars within a year. that's stupid.

went out with my SIS. i wanted to go WINDOW SHOPPING but we ended up borrowing library books. i wanted to read JANE ERYE by Charlotte Bronte. instead, i found myself staggering, carrying 6 thick books because all the books in the teenage fiction section were so TEMPTING TO READ. but yep, my sister spotted jane erye so i went ahead and borrowed it. i am dying to know jane and mr rochester's love affair.
i also bought 2 MAGAZINES (Seventeen and high school musical issue 2) courtesy of my leftover $12.
15 oct
went out with LYNETTE. ate at long john silvers. chatted and window shoppped. i know my mom told me not to shop till next month, but i bought black and white bangles (sorry cuth. i know its your fav colour but hello?? anything goes with black and/or white!!) ate ice cream at MAC ;D
oh yeah. did i mention i finally watched HSM 2 on sat (13 oct)? sharpay's more scheming than ever.
today nothing much happened. i tutored my bro (CHINESE, MIND YOU. MY WORSE SUBJECT EVER) for 1 and a half hours and earned $10 (courtesy of my mom)
things are starting to finally look up.

yesterday michelle was SUPPOSED to go out with me (so did shahirah and grace) but all of them couldn't make it. so that left me stuck with moses, cuthbert and yong han, having lunch at KFC and going arcade.
i was the first to arrive. then moses and yong han. all 3 of us agreed that cuthbert (since he came last) should buy and be the one to order our food. haha!! unfortunately, he already eaten and we had to buy our food individually.
i bought 2 chicken and a mash potato. moses bought a burger. yong han bought cheese fries, spicy drumlets.....and a lot more. he even ate my colesaw (i didn't want it)
i told cuthbert to video the way yong han eats (big laughs there) we even wanted to post it on youtube!! XDD
while eating, cuthbert was discussing what KFC does with leftover coke. he says they use them to clean the toilet or something. it nearly made me lose my appetite. T.T i mean, imagine eating really delicious chicken and having my appetite spoilt by coke washing the toilet bowl.
after that we went to century square arcade to play (actually mostly yong han did all the shooting. the rest of us just watched him). he played house of the dead 4. the monsters are more gruesome than EVER. so scary. one gigantic monster popped up and crashed at the side of the wall. it freaked me out. also a lot of disgusting zombies were banging against the glass walls, waiting to be freed. its one hell of a scary movie if you ask me.
went to tampines mall arcade after that. all the guys played shooting. i wasn't interested because i was so tired. we also played ice hockey. me and yh VS cuth and mo. score? 6 to 12. supid. cuthbert so VIOLENT. and yong han every time he shoots, the puck goes into our goal.

also went shopping (yong han insisted). he was debating whether to buy shoes or a bag. LOL. in the end cuthbert sponsored him $1 as yh was short of 90cents to buy the zinc bag.
me leh? i can't go shopping until november!! argh. my mom's idea.
went home and watched Disney Channel Aladdin and Meet the Robinsons.

my comments for the test papers:
english compo:
i think i could have passed out. nothing registered in MY BRAIN for the topics. i ended up choosing 'what is the most serious problem faced in the world today?' and wrote a boring essay on pollution, courtesy of me studying geography- so i know what to write. i hope the teacher marking it would be very generous.
english paper 2:
manageable. stupid summary though. it consumed most of my time because i exceeded the number of words.
geography:
i am confident that i can do well for this paper. i mean, COME ON. i memorised 9 mindmaps for pete sake. that's equivalent to 3 textbooks in total. however, the time frame is STILL too short.
science:
disaster. i dont know what the hell is the carbonic acid chemical formula!!! i didn't manage to finish a physics question. the biology paper was fine. ARRRGGHHH. i have to get an A1 for this!!!
history:
erm....earth to the history HOD, 2 hours for 9 lengthy essay-like questions, 4 lengthy essay-like SBQ questions, 5 short ans and 15 MCQ IS NOT ENOUGH. GOODNESS GRACIOUS MY HAND COULD HAVE DROPPED OFF!!!
