the story teaches the audience "if you love someone who, incidentally is your best friend for 10 years and is suddenly engaged to this Duke of Scotland, fight for love!"
piece of crap. people should just give up on love. it gives you false hope; thinking that the person you love would ever love you back.
even if they did love you back, there's still gonna be pain anyway- and i don't want to get hurt.
i have emotional scars no one can see. funny thing, the scars are due to 3 reasons- and inflicted by the same person.
grace was scouring for sunglasses. since i was depressed, i decided to get a little something for me- sunglasses too.
my current sunglasses doesn't really go with my face shape so i bought aviators.
i wanna sell off my old sunglasses, anyone interested? actually, its quite nice, maybe i should keep it...

my new sunnies looks better; and i feel better- for a little while. then the pain came back to me again.
thurs, 5 june:
was supposed to go to tampines library for study group with teck yan, ps and moses but the library was packed with people!
i thought: darn it pauline. in this year 2008 alone you've got so much bad luck its still a wonder how you never had a mental breakdown- you're still composed as ever.
i'm beginning to think i am a strong person. "whatever does not kill us (even if it hurts you- a lot) only makes us stronger"
anyway moses saved us. he said we can study at his place and being very gentleman, he carried my heavy bio book (:
thanks moses!
however teck yan said: bio sucks.
ps and me: NO. its ok what!
lol.
ps and i each bought a bottle of sprite for a drink while ty, trying to be funny, bought 1.5 litre of what was it? strawberry 7up instead.
me: you can't finish the whole bottle...
ty: i can ask moses to help me drink it up. if he doesn't like it, too bad.
moses ran off ahead to clean up his house before we entered. haha (:
so i did bio, ps did Amaths and moses and ty discussing A maths coordinate geometry T.T
ty is a maths freak. seriously. he does maths exercises beforehand and says its very easy.
i look at the Amaths book and the complicated workings- think i'm gonna puke. i don't understand anything at all, dammit.
but i don't care. i wait for teacher to teach then i can actually get it. and plus, my maths is always an A.
after studying, we played MONOPOLY!
yes. i played it only once, 3 years ago, and i completely forgot how to play it xD
so yep. looks like we became old fashioned. you know, people nowadays when they get bored, they go out to the arcade, the cinema, clubs...
but they don't play board games anymore. and that's really sad.
you know, you can have fun at the comfort of your own house with a bunch of friends at no cost.
i had fun for the first time this week, since, well, my depression.
ty doesn't like 1 dollar bill notes- he says small change is very irritating.
as a result, moses (banker) keeps giving him $1 bills to provoke him, muHAHAAHA.
i was stuck in jail. but the time i went out, ps, moses and ty bought most of the properties.
again, bloody bad luck.
but anyway, moses and ty were so much in debt to ps (who sadly, got a lot of money)
ty was peniless once. haha!!
damn Pall Mall. ps bought that property and all of us kept landing on it; thrice; and she collected a horde of money.
boo hoo.
so fun!! next time, i'll just take out my cards or board game and play too.
today, fri 6 june:
felt bored (secretly refused to do stupid chinese jian bao; think ly's slackiness is rubbing off on me...) and read my library book, Georgette Heyer's Regency Buck.
oh boy. i think i'm in love with this book ><
scenario: imagine your father just died (TOUCHWOOD) and you (Judith Taverner) and your brother (Peregrine Taverner) are under the care of Lord Worth, your legal guardian, who happens to be an Earl.
while travelling to London to meet your new guardian, your horse nearly meets with an accident to another carriage, and the driver, you find, is arrogant, reckless and unfortunately, drop dead gorgeous.
the next day, you visit ancient runes and sightsee and well, you encounter the carriage man, again, and for the fun of it, he kisses you to provoke you, on purpose.
while in London, you and your brother finally meet your guardian and (my favourtite part)... it turns out to be the same man who ridden the carriage!
the same man who nearly crashed onto your horse, the one who flirted with you, and the one who gave you a swift kiss even though you barely even know him.
that's part of the story of Regency Buck.
SO FUNNY! its like, historical, dating to the 19th century, actually.
and no, the guardian, Lord Worth, is not old. he's like, 29, i think. and the girl ward, Judith, is 20 years old.
they are SO suited for each other. everyone can tell. but they keep fighting, you know. they keep arguing over things...
and Judith is really pretty, a lot of suitors ask for her hand in marriage, but the Earl refused them all.
"there is little likelihood of gaining my consent to your marriage with anyone whom i can, at the moment, call to mind...except, of course, myself"
he wants to marry her for himself. haha! xD
i was lost in London, 19th Century, with Judith Taverner and her adventures.
that's the nice thing, about books. you read, you get engrossed, and you're actually lost in another world- to escape my world full of troubles.
oh, at the ending, the Earl, was no longer legal guardian for the Taverners (documents state he is only legal guardian for a period of time- one year) and at Judith's birthday, he proposed to her and gave her a diamond ring.
aww. she's is so lucky!!!
damn wish i was her.
suddenly what i wish now was that i was born in the 19th century, London or Italy or Rome, and like get a title, Lady Pauline or something.
that would be bloody cool.
