FRIDAY; 20 JUNE:
went out with joseph to watch a movie.
i wanted 'Get Smart'!! but the timing was too late.
so it was Hulk then.
Hulk, like all superhero movies, was action-packed.
yawn. been there, done that.
there's roaring, flying flaming police cars and helicopters.
i mean, the movie's ok- but not extraordinary...
anyway, i tried to help joe with his love problems.
and well, can't seem to get him to learn flirting, can i?
and i can't get the girl he likes to like him back!
so i simply said 'don't do anything and let things happen to you'
like me. i only do so little yet i experience bigger things.
hard to explain.
moving on.
after the movie, i walked home- smsed liew yung and realised that he's on his way to the mall.
i looked at the time. i had an hour to spare so i accompanied him shopping.
he wanted a chain to wear for his grandma's birthday so we went to 77th street.
he was holding two chains up "this one (black sword) or this one (some red thing)?"
'that one.'
'hm, thought so'
he said he's sorry he dragged me shopping and if it helps, he'll accompany me shopping...some day.
me: really? i shop like crazy. i can spend an hour in a store...
ly: oh yea? my mom goes for 6 hours straight and i have to beg her to stop.
haha.
next stop: toy store.
turns out he collects toys- you know, collectors items.
he grabbed the box he wanted- "i like this. coz its red"
"no its pink."
"red!"
"pink!"
me (points to red box): THAT is red..
ly (shrugs): ok pink then. girls love pink so i dig pink too.

he blew off $44.20 bucks. for a toy. i don't get boys...
went to comics connection, where ly gone mad over a Final Fantasy action figure which costs... $139.90
ly turns to me with a smile.
ly: pauline, you're my friend right? i want this on my birthday.
me: are you NUTS??!! it's like $140!
ly: split cost with someone! i really want it!
me: well go steal it then (i was joking)
ly: humph. this is the kind of friend i go out with.
me: anyway, i already bought you a present...remember i asked you what was your favourite colour? somehow that conversation steered to the colour of your underwear..
ly: so what you buy for me?
me: erm, why should i tell? it's something..
ly: oh God. its not a shirt, is it? coz if it is..
me: NO. not a shirt.
and then ly suggested we go inside yamaha to sample guitars.
i didn't know what that meant, until he asked the salesperson whether he could actually play the guitar on display. and the person let him!
"you actually brought your guitar pick?"
"yeah. i keep it in my wallet."
wow.
so he started playing songs. free entertainment, of you ask me (:
ly: what did you learn? in your guitar lessons?
me: C, D, E, F, G.
ly: ok i'll test you. *turns back and strums* what chord is this?
me: erm, havent learn chords yet...
ly (laughs): what? so slow.
gah. he makes me feel so...noob. but don't worry, someday i'll be pro at guitar. some day. like next year? or the year after next?
he taught me some stuff. he says if you know these, you can strum and play your own songs.
complicated stuff, let me tell you. but i know my teacher will teach them. soon.
so i can actually play the songs i write. whoopee.
after that, we walked home. its really convenient for both of us to go tm, coz we just live across the road from each other.
"look! guitar couple!"
true enough, there was a guy and girl, holding hands, carrying a guitar on their backs.
me: yea..
ly: it'll be nice to have a girlfriend who can play guitar, right?
me: hm, a guy too.
ly: but so hard to find a proper girl nowadays..
me: well, you have to be so picky...so find one!
but i have to admit, i am also quite picky.
i mean, not every guy can do right? the guy has to be charming, able to hold a conversation, romantic, intelligent, handsome and have and awesome sense of humor.
oh. that's just the first part. there's more to it- my list is like, really long xD
talked about stuff like travelling. i wanted to see the world and so did he. he wanted to go Japan and Taiwan- and me like Canada, Italy, Rome and other European countries..
i want to be older so i can travel and see the world!! i wanna go Italy, man!!
can't wait.
SATURDAY; 21 JUNE:
went to bedok library with sha, zi teng, khwoon hwa and jing jie.
ate lunch at KFC, where lame jj put ketchup in his mash potato.
me: GROSS!!
jj: what? people do that all the time.
zi teng: no lor.
sha: sick.
zi teng: look like menses.
sha: WTH.
me: guys we're trying to eat!!
and jj put aside his red mash potato because he's scared of blood. zi teng has to be so...gory. muhahaha XD
and jj dared kh to eat the ketchup, lime drink and mash potato combined mixture. all for $10.
kh seriously tried to eat it. but in the end, he didn't. shame. jj wanted to video him and put it on youtube XD
crashed yong han's house. we knocked and he opened the door... in his PJs!!
yh: eh, why you guys come now??!! i just woke up leh!
haha.
it's like, 2 pm. see? it's pretty OK to actually wake up late. yong han and i do it all the time.
except, i wake up at 11 am and he at 1pm plus. like, OMG.
yh renovated his house. and its awesome!! nice! and he's got an LCD TV.
whatever. i also have what.
then watched a bit of TV then the guys played maple.
me, sha and shazana played monopoly! i was the richest man! (:
and then played cluedo with yh, yh's sis and sha. i won! yea! i'm a great detective. hehe.
after that, i left to go church and i ate out with my family for dinner at Fish and Co- my favourite restaurant besides Ajisen.
and dad spent $82.15

guilt spread to me. cuth was all alone at home, no siblings or parents, with probably instant noodles to eat- while i was chowing down on delicious savoury seafood chatting with my family and teasing my bro mercilessly.
for my best friend, i would give anything to switch lives with him, so he'll know how it feels like to have a family who's there all the time, and siblings to fight and love with.
ly also sort of taught the importance of family too. he watches movies with his dear younger cousin.
so i try to make an effort to bond with my bro- like today 22 june- i helped him tear leaves for his bio project. haha (:
sometimes, you gotta appreciate the things in life like your family because not other people can experience it.
cheer up cuth. while your stuck at home, you could watch DVDs (like me).
or next time, you could bond with your cousins, since you have no siblings :)
oh crap. tomorrow's school. i totally forgot. bloody timetable i had problems printing and editing it...
wish me luck waking up tomorrow morning at 6 am. ARRRGGGHHH. the horror.
