yoo jin was drunk. at least, that's what i thought. as sha would have put it, she was 'high'.

back by popular demand. wen ya and see voon told me to update my blog, especially since the prom.
ok. square one.
wy's father was kind enough to bring me and wy to hilton hotel. thank you! :D
wy and sarah went ahead to the ball room, i was with victor at the first floor waiting for the rest to come.
waited....waited....
must be traffic. it was a long and painful wait.
but just sufficient time to people-watch. there were hordes of good looking guys. haha.
the bus finally came. yh, sha, mich, adele, sv came out and we went to the ballroom.
there was a red carpet, by the way!
some people were clutching wine glasses. me and yh found a passing waiter and grabbed drinks.
yh (indicating the wine glass in his hand): oh! now i feel classy!
and we clinked glasses. heehee. yep. classy!
first up, performances.
there were 2 totally good male dancers dancing hard core hip hop. yong han said (with a grim smile): 'oh. they're good. now i'm jealous.'
i laughed.
then the fast dance!! ohh ohh ohh. yes!! i was already in dancing mode, but i was scared to boldly go up and be the first one on the dance floor.
yh wanted to dance too. in the end, we both went to the dancefloor! whoo. yoo jin too! she was dancing like crazy.
ok, who knew wen ya knew how to par-tae? like WOW, she was dancing too!!
some random (hot) guy actually stuck out his hand to ask michelle to dance. me and yj were squealing like crazy: we pushed mich to the guy.
the guy was a bloody good dancer. like whoa.
mich was screaming "NOOO i don't want!! i dunno how to dance!!!!"
haha! causing a scene. turns out she knows the guy. from St Joseph's Instituiton.
there was a dance off!!! a group was standing in a circle, watching people dance one by one. they were playing "Low" and yh yelled "i know this song!" and started to dance off with the guys.
yh is pro. dead pro. seriously. then me and yj join him, dancing inside the circle of crowd.
i would never do this kind of thing in my life. dancing in a small circle with lots of people watching??!! but i didn't care- i was disco-dancing, wow.
yea, that's why everyone got sort of drunk (with no drinks). yj and yh dazedly climbed onto the stage and both started to scream.
that is, until someone said 'cannot go upstage!!"
i was sweating. and in my gorgeous pink minidress.
then we rested, ate some snacks (chips and peanuts only) and watched performances.the nominees for prom queen and king started to slow dance- the sappy part.
and they played "you and me" by lifehouse.
that's when it hit me.i had the perfect dress, the perfect shoes, my hair curled just the way i wanted and even my dream slow dance song was playing. lifehouse!! you and me!
you know what was missing? someone you really like to dance with. one big missing jigsaw puzzle piece.
and i felt empty.
i slow danced with a few guys though.
sha was comforting me. i love yoo jin. she made me laugh in the toilet. i felt better.
yj: don't worry pauline. like you, i'm waiting for my fated love... you look so pretty tonight! this is fun because we can dress up! we all look prettier than in school!
i felt even more better with yong han. we were all cracking up outside the toilet.
yj took her shawl, placed it on her back and ran around singing "I BELIEVE I CAN FLY!!!"
she was nuts. i felt so happy.
took loads of pictures with sv, wy, sha, yh, yj, mich and victor!!
we retreated back to the ballroom- apparently, we missed out on the guitar performances. oh well.
last fast dance!! yj dragged me to the dancefloor. i decided to dance away my worries.i was right. disco grinding is so fun. i was laughing. i was dancing like there was no tomorrow. they played "when i grow up" by PCD and vivi, me and yj were belting out the lyrics "I WANNA HAVE GROUPIES!!!"
god knows what victor was trying to do. you call that dancing? he was hopping around like a rabbit, doing ACES. ACES! for goodness sake T.T
wow. and they played "low" again. this time, the crowd, really went low. then snapped back up.
they should make Step Up 3 with the ASEAN prom-goers in it. everyone was dancing. clubbing is fun. without alcohol, that is.
"Apple Bottom Jeans!! Boots with the fur!! She got the whole club lookin at her!!! She hit the flo!! Next thing you know, Shawty got low low low low low low low low!!!!"
oh god. i can't take enough of this. i was intoxicated!!! whoo hoo!!
sigh. it was over in the end. went home exhausted.
ps. victor and michelle were slow dancing together. i was watching them, i had this sudden urge to laugh. they look so nice together. i suddenly thought...
pps. adele said there's this guy who keeps staring at me. yeah. he kept hovering in my area, throwing shy glances at me, which i returned. he was cute. he looked like he wanted to ask me to dance, but he didnt. i wish he did though.
ppps. daniel gave wen ya a rose. when i saw, i was smiling really hard, my cheeks hurt.
pppps. i can't wait for my cruise holiday. i can dance (in the club?) again, YAY!! :D
