"Mummy, can i ask you something?"
"what is it?"
i was nervous. my hands were gripping hard on my dinner plate.
but then, i eventually told her. asked her, actually.
i asked her whether i could go to the prom at the Hilton Hotel.
i sucked in breath and waited.
"sure! why not! you can use your competition prize money to pay for the ticket AND the prom dress. i know which shops you can buy from...."
she rattled on about clothes from This Fashion, Alano...but i wasn't listening.
i was dizzy with excitement. OMG she actually allowed!!!
yay i'm going to the prom! 3 problems posed though. the 3 Ds. grace told me.
Dress?
Date?
Dancing?
oh hell. the dress won't be a problem- i can easily find one- plus, i have the perfect shoes!!
oh, don't get me started on dates and boy escorts. and dancing? can you just twirl around?
probably not.
but who cares. michelle is going too! yoojin might. victor and daniel are. the scholars- since its like a scholars/foreigners meet Singaporeans prom kinda thing.

1. miracuously, i passed my SS test. whoo!
2. unfortunately, there's a physics test next week.
3. i arm-wrestled grace (lost) pin cheng (lost too because he made me shake with laughter) and see voon (its a tie!)
4. i didn't arm wrestle cuthbert because well, he has more arm strength than me. and c'mon he's in shooting club. he has biceps. i'd look pathetic if i tackled him.
5. grace did. but she lost. but grace is really good. with arm wrestling.
6. khoon hwa SO didn't tell me we won 3rd for Dunman Sec's EnviroScience symposium fair. i had to hear it from Guan Zhong 2 times before i actually believed it. i thought the guys were kidding around.
7. at Dunman Sec today, students from different schools have walked passed our set up booth and complimented the fire and skull artpiece.
8. WELL DUH! i made it :)
