24 DEC, Xmas evewent out to clarke quey in the late afternoon with my family to enjoy the scenery.there's the soft breeze, the trees that offer comforting shade (couples making out in their private alcoves. ahem!) sturdy built bridges, bungee jumping, ice cream carts and soft jazz music- and the occasional smell of expensive australian wine.my family ate at jumbo seafood restaurant and ordered the best chilli crabs ever served in town. i mean, singapore.took plenty of pictures- will upload them in facebook :Dit became dark and the hanging lights went on. bars and clubs opened their doors to welcome the party people.nightlife. joseph was absolutely right, of course. at night, that's where the fun begins. you've got throbbing music, intoxicating or classy drinks, mysterious strangers and careless horseshit that'll make you go crazy with delight.so i announced to my parents that i will go clubbing when i reached the right age. my mom didn't blanched- instead she replied, "when you have a stable job."my dad said, "when you're 40" and smiled at me mischieviously. so mean :( he was teasing, of course.we also went to orchard road- which was a HUGE mistake because the entire street was covered with throngs of people. you can't even move, but squirm along with the crowd.was stuffy, hot and upsetting. the dazzling lights and clicking of numerous cameras made me dizzy.my mom ushered us back to Wisma Atria and she bought herself bright purple Nike sports shoe.i love the shoe but i said, "Did you know that Nike brands exploit foreign workers overseas?"i think the salesman threw me a look of horror.sometimes, i gotta know when to shut up or i'll end up like khoon hwa, sprouting out knowledge whenever he feels like.25 DEC, Xmas.my tita Vilma came over for lunch.helped my dad grill beef steak and pork chops, MMmmm x) - see facebook photos.after that, watched "aliens in the attic". then, my brother's godparents came over. EJ and Ethan tagged along, so i switched on the xbox to let them play transformers.and i was stuck in the playroom with a bunch of Transformers fanatics. my sister included.i mean, it's nice and all, galactic robots that can transform into vehicles for deception, but ah, not my cup of tea. instead, i sat in one corner and dreamt about clothes, haha!in the late afternoon, my family headed to Mimi Rose's house for a party.their fruit salad is absolutely delicious.one of the guests, a teenage girl by the looks of it, got a PSP from her parents. i just stared at her numbly, wishing i'd get a PSP too!! no fair!!at night, we headed home for the opening of gifts!i had a Burberry perfume from tito Doods (thank you, now i have a personal scent!)a silver necklace from tita Vilma.an organiser from Camille.40 bucks from my parents.not a bad haul eh?xmas presents i gave:-adorable hello kitty metal case containing with yummy sweets for lynette plus friendship poster!a bag tag and DVDS for grace plus friendship poster!handmade all time low poster for my sisa bingo set for the whole family.we played bingo throughout the night, my brother shrieking everytime his number didn't get called.so i guess my whole family love the present :D28 DEC:the contracters came to my house to fix the ceiling. the wallpaper thing had come off. so two days of falling plaster and the annoying smell of paint and dirt.my mom allowed me to go out (escape!) so i had lunch with sha and grace!it was fun catching up since grace just arrived from america (having spent the entire christmas in a plane back to singapore- with babies wailing, disturbing her sleep)she showed me and sha photos: snowy wilderness, packed street, glossy department stores, exciting theme parks, green, high cliffs and even the interior of a Victorian castle on a hill!so cool, wished i had been there...ironically, i'm going to the US this june. then to canada, for good. sigh.we took plenty of photos - see facebook again! and went window shopping.<3
